And afterwards, you can change and adjust your current configuration to your actual workload – even during ongoing operation. IONOS Cloud uses Intel and AMD CPUs that have been specially developed for cloud computing.
Please note: The Intel cores that the IONOS Cloud provides use hyperthreading. For every physical Intel processor core, the operating system addresses two virtual cores and shares the workload between them to act more like a system with two physical cores.

IONOS Cloud Object Storage:
Hosted across different locations, with contract-owned buckets and user-owned buckets options.
a) Traffic from a VM to Object Storage is subject to the same definition of local, national, and regular public traffic for cost invoicing.
i. Outgoing VM traffic to Object Storage in the same data centre location is measured as local traffic;
ii.Outgoing VM traffic to Object Storage in the same country, but to a different data centre, is measured as national traffic;
iii. Outgoing VM traffic to Object Storage in data centres in different countries is charged as regular public traffic.
b) Outgoing Object Storage traffic from contract-owned buckets is charged as regular public traffic, except for data transfer to services in the same data center or to IONOS Cloud Public Cloud data centers in the same country.
c) Outgoing Object Storage traffic from user-owned buckets is always charged as regular public traffic, and the definitions of local and national traffic do not apply, even when this traffic is addressed to another IONOS Cloud Public Cloud service, regardless of its deployment location.
d) Outgoing Object Storage traffic to IONOS Cloud Bare Metal Cloud or IONOS Cloud Private Cloud is always charged as regular public traffic.
IP addresses
IONOS Cloud provides you with a dynamic IPv4 address to connect your cloud infrastructure to the internet free of charge. There are fees for static IPv4 addresses that, for instance, are required for addressing external on-premises servers. You can also add up to 50 IPv6 addresses to your network connection.

It has never been easier to use SSD storage in the cloud: IONOS Cloud offers two service classes that can be chosen when ordering the volume – both for easy startup and for reliable performance and high IOPS. SSD Premium is optimized for high performance, whereas SSD Standard is recommended for quickly accessing data for all-purpose scenarios and at a price that is very attractive for storage space. HDD volumes provide a static performance profile regardless of the volume size. In comparison, SSD volumes deliver greater performance that increases with volume size and is capped at a certain size.

Volume Snapshot
The IONOS Cloud Volume Snapshot is a virtual snapshot of your data at a certain point in time and allows you to subsequently return to this state.

The IONOS Cloud enables the customer to create what are known as snapshots of individual block storage. You can access (and erase) the created virtual copy of the block storage via DCD and the Cloud API, and new block storage can be created based on a snapshot. The provisioning speed is 50 MB/s.
IONOS Cloud Object Storage
Standalone IONOS Cloud Object Storage offers redundant storage on several storage nodes – without additional costs and administrative overhead. Your data is redundantly backed up and can afterwards be restored at any time thanks to replication.

Data transmission costs are not included and will be added according to the current pricing:
a) Traffic from a VM to Object Storage is subject to the same definition of local, national, and regular public traffic for cost invoicing.
i. Outgoing VM traffic to Object Storage in the same data centre location is measured as local traffic;
ii.Outgoing VM traffic to Object Storage in the same country, but to a different data centre, is measured as national traffic;
iii. Outgoing VM traffic to Object Storage in data centres in different countries is charged as regular public traffic.
b) Outgoing Object Storage traffic from contract-owned buckets is charged as regular public traffic, except for data transfer to services in the same data centre.
c) Outgoing Object Storage traffic from user-owned buckets is always charged as regular public traffic, and the definitions of local and national traffic do not apply, even when this traffic is addressed to another IONOS Cloud Public Cloud service, regardless of its deployment location.
d) Outgoing Object Storage traffic to IONOS Cloud Bare Metal Cloud or IONOS Cloud Private Cloud is always charged as regular public traffic.
